In triangle BCA and triangle ECD:

BC = EC                  [Given]

∠BCA = ∠ECD        [Vertically opposite Angles]

AC = DC                  [Given]

By SAS Congruence Criteria:

triangle BCA \(\cong\)triangle ECD

\(∴ \overline{BA}\cong\overline{ED}\)    [Corresponding sides of congruent triangles]
