Question

A serving of Cereal A contains \( 15 \) more grams...

A serving of Cereal A contains \( 15 \) more grams of carbohydrates than a serving of Cereal B. If you eat a serving of each cereal, you will consume \( 91 g \) of carbohydrates. Find the amount of carbohydrates in each cereal.

Answer

Let a serving of cereal B contains x grams carbohydrates.

Then a serving of cereal A contains (15 + x) grams of carbohydrates.

x + 15 + x = 91

            2x = 76

              x = 38

A serving of cereal A contains 38 + 15 = 53 grams of carbohydrates.

A serving of cereal B contains 38 grams of carbohydrates
